Salute To The Flag

I have been asking momma to make a post for me.

Momma. Mom. Mommy. Mama mia. Mommy Dearest. Mom. mommy. Mi Madre. Dear Mommy. Ma. Mama. My lovely mommy. Mother. Boss Lady. Mumsy. Mumstor. Mummy-mum.

She finally listened. There is no big story. Just something to keep sharing pictures and keep this blog moving.

The other day we were walking down Avenida España after visiting Punta Torrecilla. We like the wide open space here.

Buena thought it was funny the way he looked at my big ole buttox.

We ended up at the Base Naval 27 De Febrero when they were getting ready to take down the flag of Dominican Republic. They were playing taps on the trumpet. I used to be really afraid when they played the music there but I’m getting better. I don’t try and run away from it any longer.

It is the custom here to stop when the flag is being raised and lowered out of respect. Here at the Naval Base they even stop the traffic during this time. Some people stand by their motorbikes or get out of their cars to stand for the flag.

We stopped to show our respect.

When the flag was down we continued walking, heading home, for a good evening bone and the fan.

On the way home Buena had to stop and pay his respects to the dogs that live behind this gate that says “Solo Personal Autorizado” / “Authorised Personel Only”. He left his mark for them to know that he passed by. That’s our Buenagente. lol

We crossed Avenida España at the Parque San Souci as we headed home.

It was a good evening walk. And thanks momma for finally making a post for me. She promised that we will do more posts, even if it is just a few words and some pictures so all our friends can keep up with our uneventful little loving lives.
