I was just settling down to do some work on the web site Saturday. I had all the facebook updates done. I had the stats checked and was just organizing what I needed to add and..wallah..out go the lights. 8:30AM no electricity and the day was already getting hot and humid. So I decided to go out and see what we could see instead of sitting in the house thinking of what I should be working on. (By the way, the electricity does not go out much in the Zona Colonial area. They were working on installing a new electric pole. What was interesting is that it was out in the entire Zone and Cuidad Nueva also)
Teli and I went left the house for a walk about around 10AM. We walked out the door and of course there was Bertha waiting for us. There was also a rooster tied to the neighbors door by a string. Probably waiting to go to someones home by bus or maybe someones dinner. He was pretty big and strong looking so I am assuming he was going to have some nice females to enjoy instead of being someones Pollo Guisado.
I made a few collections for ads on the web site. Talked to a few people about business. Told stories about Bertha to some people just in case they knew someone who wanted to adopt her. We ended up at Plaza EspaƱa where the girls ad a little romp chasing pigeons.
I was so hot around 2 we headed home. On Calle las Damas Bertha got all excited and ran to a jeepeta with her tail wagging. These people called her and were hugging her, telling her they missed her. They said the love seeing her around the Zone. They wish they could adopt her but they already have 3 dogs. Funny, people that I do not even know know her name is Bertha. She is so loved. They said that if she goes away they will really miss Bertha, her friendliness and her happy attitude.
As soon as I got in the door around 2:30PM the lights came on. What luck eehh? I was too tired and hot and sweaty and dirty to work so I took a cold shower and a long nap. The girls were tired also. I wet them down with the hose. They got Telis toys, bones and socks all spread out on the sofa and they went to sleep after figuring out how got which spot.
Thank goodness for electricity, my fan, my bed, my best friend baby girl Teli and her friend Bertha. It was a good day.
