I Almost Died Trying To Remove My Tooth

I have been having problems with my stupid teeth. Another tooth is rotted and one is loose. I had a tooth removed a few years ago and it is not a pleasant thing at all. This time I stopped breathing and almost died. Buenagente (that’s me) is still alive!

Momma took me to Manati Veterinarians to check out my teeth. They said it should be removed. We made an appointment for removal and teeth cleaning.

When I got the gas to make me rest they decided to only clean my teeth and wait to remove the bad tooth because there was another tooth that was broken at the root and it needed more work. They also told my momma that all my teeth are bad. The vet said I must have had distemper when I was young and it ruined all my teeth. She said that someday they may all need to be pulled. NO WAY!

I went back a few days later for the surgery and stayed there all day. The electricity was out and they could not do my surgery. I spent all day there waiting in a cage for nothing. The only good thing was that I had a good time barking at all the dogs and cats all day long.

So I returned again to the veterinarian to get the surgery. I had a bad time. A really really bad time. I almost died.

The vet said after they anesthetized me and started to cut into my gum to remove the tooth I stopped breathing. They had me on oxygen for 2 hours to keep me alive. Dr. Raysa said she was worried and afraid that they were going to lose me.

I am a fighter and am not ready to leave this world yet. I have more cats to chase. More babies to kiss. More people to make happy. And many more chicken heads to eat. I survived!

They didn’t remove the tooth. They said it is broken at the root and should come out but maybe in a month or 2. I think I would rather just have some pain than go through that again.

When momma got me home she hugged me and cried. She thanked me for fighting to live. She gave me a butt bath to wash off the pee that I dribbled on myself while I was under the influence of the anesthesia. I ate a 1/2 cup of fish. I rested on the bed so she could keep a close eye on me. Inteliperra jumped up on the bed and stayed close by, watching me closely. She must have known that something bad happened.

I know I am loved, by God, my family and my friends. I want to thank you all for praying for me and for helping my momma to pay for my almost surgery. God really watched over me. I am alive and well.
