Momma surprised Buenagente and I this morning. She took us to Playita Montecino!
We do not go there much anymore because there are usually other dogs with us and they do not like to cross the pedestrian bridge over the busy street, The Malecon. Momma says it is just too dangerous for them so we do not go. I love going there but we do need to think of everydogs safety.
It was still dark when we got there and momma set us free. The first thing I did was run to the water to check it out. Buenagente did not join me. He really does not like getting his toes wet.
After I ran around a while acting crazy and flipping sand everywhere it was time to get Buenagente up and running. He likes to lay around a little too much sometimes. I do understand because his hurt leg is still sore. Once I can get him up and moving he loves to run with me.
Buenagente went running over to the guys that were doing their work-outs for baseball. He liked the guy that was pulling a big tire around the sand. Buenagente had to bark at all the guys. Momma had to explain that he likes to bark and he was not dangerous. This is the way Buenagente is and we cannot change it, he is just to old and set in his ways. I just laid down to watch the guys running around looking silly.
When we got back home our tummies were full of sand and our toes were covered with mud (the parking lot at the beach had a big mud puddle that we just HAD to run through). Momma lead us both to the bathroom. She turned on the hose and washed our feet and sprayed the sand off of our tummies.
We both headed for the sofa with water still dripping from our clean feets and tummies. We both waited patiently for momma to make her coffee and our breakfast.
It was a good morning romp. It was a good breakfast. Now, it is time for a good nap for Buenagente and I.
