A Morning Walk 11-20-2014

I so love our morning walks.

I usually start waking mom up around 5AM if she is still asleep. Usually she is awake but if she is not I go up real close to her face and stare at her. As soon as she starts to open her eyes I give her a few little wet kisses to say good morning. After she tells me good morning then I get a little more rambunctious and bounce around on the bed a bit just to get her motivated.

There are some days when I need a little extra help getting her motivated. If she sleeps past 6AM then all I need to do is bark and Buenagente (I do not let Buena into my house anymore now that he is not sick) who is usually sleeping outside on the stairs or in the entryway of the building, will bark. Mom gets up then because she does not want Buenas barking to disturb the neighbors because it echoes up and down all the floors of the building.

We are both pretty smart don’t you think? (when I am saying this I am snickering like Muttley in the cartoons that mom showed me and probably wish she never did).

When we got outside this day Buenagente was waiting patiently on a sand pile for us.

After Buenagente greets mom and they do a little bit of hugging and talking it is my turn. We first do a little face lick then we commence wrestling and playing before we start walking, picking up other friends along the way.

Today we were walking and this funny little dog poked his head out of a hole at the bottom of a door and started barking.

Buenagente and I thought he was just too funny with his head sticking out of that hole. We had to go and tease him and make him bark some more because he was stuck and could not come out side to play with us. Poor guy. He was not very happy (another Muttley snicker).

We picked up Zippy and Fuzzy on the way walking to Plaza España to romp a bit with us. The more the merrier.

After playing around there for a while mom said it was time to go. She had to stop and get some fruit for breakfast. Then we went to Parque Colón and she had a little plastic shot of coffee while I kept trying to get into the trash with my friends. Sometimes mom does not see me right away and I find some good treats left from the local restaurants. Most of my friends dine here I do not understand why I am not allowed.

After mom had her coffee and called me out of the garbage a few times we headed home. Fuzzy turned back to where he lives to take his nap after breakfast.

As we passed the entrance to Fortaleza Ozama Zippy saw the door open. She always checks for the open door. She and Buena went to go inside and mom let me follow. We got to go into out favorite place for a quick run.

Zippy and I ran all around but Buenagente was too interested in the cats to come running this morning. Zippy and I had fun without Buenagente. If he would rather stare at cats that is up to him. Crazy Buena.

After a few rounds we left to go home. Mom had to get some work done.

Zippy and Buenagente had a little dog food inside the entrance to the building and mom and I came into the apartment.

Mom made her coffee and some drink she likes. I had a big drink of water and headed to the sofa.

When came out to the living room to start work she found me. Laying on my back next to my bone on the sofa. I was pooped out and ready for my mid morning nap.
