Embrace The Sweat

Embrace the sweat is something I must remember during the summer months here in Dominican Republic. The weather is hot and hotter (weather in DR), except for some areas in the mountains it can freeze in the winter. Sometimes we get blessed with a little chill, but here is the city it is hot. When it’s hot I sweat.

I am trying to embrace the sweat after morning walk at 8am with wet hair and pits.

I am a sweater. Summer I drip sweat balls (that’s what I call it). I have wet pits. I have a damp butt crack. I drip liquid from my chin and elbows. Even when sleeping I can have the fan directly on my bod and the bed and pillow are still soaking wet.

Too much information you are thinking to yourself? Reality sometimes is not always pretty.

Embrace The Sweat, The sweaty Gringa.

Embrace The Sweat, The sweaty Gringa. That is sweat not water.

Nothing I can do about the sweat issue. I do some self-talk that it’s an OK thing. I carry a cloth with me when its convenient. I rinse off in the shower often. Mix powder with baking soda and corn starch and powder all my crack-a-daddle-doodles.

If you see me or others that are wet with sweat, do not shun them (unless they stink, that’s another issue). Maybe they are like me and just have to accept the dripping of sweat and have to live with it. Embrace the sweat!

What do you do to help the sweating that happens on your bod?

The picture below is just because. I had to end this nasty, I hate sweating post on a positive note. My beautiful kids, Buenagente and Inteliperra, at Faro de Punta Torrecilla.
