I learned my lesson about jumping when I do not see where I am going to land when I jumped off, or should I say, when I tried to fly off the 2 ½ floor of the Montecino statue. I will not do that again. It hurt. If you want to read about me Taking the Jump its here.

When I want to go someplace and am getting tired of mom standing there and talking, and talking, and talking, I do a little jump to remind her that I am here and I want to go. Most of the time she listens to me and other times she just continues with the blah, blah, blah.

Mom never has her camera ready to catch me jumping. She tries and tries but I am just way too fast for her.

One morning on our walk I saw a fast moving lizard and had to make chase. Mom had her camera out and got me jumping over the shrubs in my park. I really enjoy chasing lizards. They are really fast and they run in and out of the bushes making it impossible to catch them. I really do not want to catch one. They look like they would taste really bad. I just want to enjoy the hunt.

So mom got her pictures and she was all happy. When mom is happy I am happy so I kept jumping for her. She was taking more pictures. Most she took she never caught me in the air but she did get a couple decent ones.

I know mom will keep trying to get a really good picture of me jumping. I am starting to enjoy being photographed so much. I like the attention and I also like to make my mom happy. Also, jumping makes lots of people laugh. I like that too. Making people smile and enjoy themselves. I think this is why I am here, to make my mom happy and also to make others happy. This is my purpose in life. I love my life and I love jumping!

My mom made me some special bowls so I can keep my treasures bones organized so when I need one I can go to one of the bowls. These bowls are made out of an old coconut shell that was split in half. Then she took the top of a big blue bottle of water to make the base of the bowl so it did not tip over. I have 2 of these. One on the coffee type table in the living room and one next to my food bowl.

This picture mom just took has my treasures on the table where they always are. This way I can pick any bone at any time.

So today I was having some fun while mom was working early. We got back from our walk and mom started working. She was really busy and so was I. I was trying to decide which bone I wanted. None were quite making the cut. Not even the cow horn that mom gave me. Nothing was good. So I just decided to take a nap and retreated to my little hiding spot under the table next to the bed.

Mom came in to check on me and to spend a few minutes petting me and talking to me. I heard her laughing so I came out from under the table to see what was so funny. She was looking at the bed laughing at my bone display.

She had the sheet nice and neat but, of course, I had to mess that all up. Then I had some of my favorite bones out in a nice circle. She thought that was funny and I had to laugh with her. I jumped up on the bed with my tail wagging and give her a kiss. She was a happy mom. I find it so interesting that she laughs at some of the most stupid things. Moms, gotta love ém.

After a time the movie stopped and there was no movement from the living room. I decided I best go investigate.

Mom was laying sleeping on the sofa and the movie was over. I went and looked out the window to see what was happening in the street. Nothing. So I went to look at mom. I went up to her face to sniff and see what was up. As I got close her eyes opened.

She yelled a sort of wow type yell, it was not a scream. When she yelled she jumped then I jumped! We were both looking at each others faces close up with our eyes open in a sort of fright shock type look. All I could think to do was t give mom a big kiss on her face to let her know I thought it was funny.

When I gave this little kiss she hugged me. Then she started laughing so hard. I was laughing too in the doggy way. This made her get up and we went to bed. Every time she looked at me she started laughing remembering the look on my face when she scared me and how we both jumped. she was still laughing about it this morning. She is giggling as I am dictating this story to her right now….will she ever get over it??!!

I cannot figure out humans but I sure do love them, especially my mom!

I hope you enjoy my first video and there will be more to come. Oh, and right now since I performed so well and made mom laugh, she gave me a nice pigs foot. Oh puppy (just so you know, I do not say Oh baby…I say Oh puppy), I love those.

One noise I really hate is the Güira. It is that metal thing that people play, or think they play, music with. That sound is so annoying to my ears. My mom says she does not really like that sound either but at least she does not go into a panic mode when she hears it like I do. Now that mom knows I do not like that sound she tries to take me out of the place if someone starts playing that thing which I really appreciate. It is strange though, when I hear it on a recording with other music it does not bother my doggie ears. But when I hear it live it is sooo annoying. I do not know if other dogs feel the same but for those of you who like playing this instrument, if you see me somewhere, please try to not play it or at least tell my mom first so we can leave the place. Thank you.

A few days ago mom took me to a place to meet a friend of hers, now my friend too, that is a veterinarian. He will come to to your house if you live in the Santo Domingo area. This is how much he loves us animals. His name is Gabriel and his number is 809-272-7968. He also does grooming.

Also, some human had a laptop computer. Mom and I told him to go to my blog and watch my Christmas Video Card. He and his friends laughed and laughed at my card. I love to hear the sound of those humans laughing. I am glad they enjoyed it.
