I really did not think it was that funny until I saw myself in the video.

I guess I am pretty funny sometimes, wink, wink. Oh, by the way, I got the cheese..lol.

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed something that was different, out of place, just not quite right. I wanted to show my bravery and alert my mom just in case it was something bad. This black blob that did not belong there was atop the room divider.

I jumped up and growled some more, my hair standing up on my back to show extra effect. Mom grabbed her stick she keeps by the bed. I was brave and ran into the living room to get some speed up so I could attack full force this invading black blob.

I returned, jumped on the bed and was really showing my strength by growling with my hair up on my entire back this time. I really looked tough. Then my mom reached up and pulled the black thing down onto the bed. I jumped up for the attack then realized that it was just a scarf. Relief.

I really knew what it was the entire time. I just wanted to show mom that I could be brave and that I notice when something is different in the room.

I attacked the scarf and threw it around a bit while mom laughed and called me her viscous attack dog afraid of a little scarf. Didn’t she realize that I was just doing that to make her laugh and show her how brave I could have been?

Digging in the sand

Today I was alone on the beach. None of my friends showed up. Mom and I were walking along the edge where the surf hits. I like to get as close as I can without getting wet. While we were walking I got a whiff of something sweet to my nose.

Now my mom likes to put Lavender or Tee Tree scented oils on my collar as she says it keeps the bugs away. I sort of like those smells but when I smelt this new odor I thought I would just use it as my own little perfume and went over to check it out.

I remember one of my friends rolling around on his back and wiggling around. It looked like fun so I thought I would give it a try when I came across this smell. It was the only way I could get it on my body because remember I don’t have hands like my mom does.

I was really enjoying rolling around. The smell was getting stronger on my body that my mom had just bathed a few days before. Mom came over to check it out and she had a terrible look on her face. Like she did not like my choice of perfumes. Hmmm.. I liked her smells wonder why she did not like mine.

She looked down to see what it was and she noticed the little worms crawling out of the sand. Someone put a dead thing under the sand and I found it, worms and all.

Well, we did not stay at the beach for long. She put the leash on me and we headed for home. The entire walk back my mom was making yucky sounds like “oowwhhh” and “eewww” while holding the back of her hand to her nose and making funny squinchy faces.

We got home and she took me directly to the bath. I was soaped down and dried off. She had a nice look on her face again. All was well with the world and my choice of perfumes was washed off my body and I was permitted to go to the bed and sit on the sofa.

If she was not sure she liked my new perfume she does not have to worry. I remember where my ripe buried treasure was and will probably go there again for a roll upon as soon as I get another chance.

I was waiting patiently for her to get her clothes on so we could go outside and I could go down to the beach at Montecinos and run around with my friends Blanco and Lula. But she HAD to get out the camera and take a movie of me doing one of my favorite things.

Ok. You might think this is strange but you humans spend hours looking at a stupid box with meaningless pictures of people you do not know all day long. You sit at another box and hit little square things that make letters and laugh at something on the box that you said another human wrote in the same fashion.

So, me chewing on a bone or chewing on some crinkly paper to you is strange. I will never figure out the human way. But, I still love most of you.

If you turn the volume up you can hear the sound of me, as mom calls it, “typewriting”. Mom says that tat sound can be relaxing at night when all is quiet.

I am so glad she enjoys it.

It is serious conversation time now listen up.

10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You.

1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.

We walked to Cuidad Nueva where some guy gave me some really good Chicken. I had to preform for it. I picked the hand that it was hiding in for them. People really seem to like that trick and they always smile and laugh when I do that one. (Here is a picture of my doing the “Which hand had the food” trick last week for a man from Honduras)

We ended up down by the basketball court between the Malecon and Jose Gabriel Garcia. I used to be really afraid of the bouncy ball but now I am just a little bit afraid. I am getting braver by the day. I only have tremors a little bit now.

I did get a little nervous on the Conde walking but I toughed it out. Mom found this sign so I could just pretend I was on the Conde while I was waiting to play some basketball.

Finally I got my turn to to shoot some hoops and everyone left! I was all alone. Just mom and I. I did not think that I was bad or stinky. Wonder why all those nice boys left.

“Where is everyone and wheres the ball?”

Well, since there was no one to play with, the ball was gone and really I was tired from all the walking we decided to head on to our neighborhood and rest a bit before heading home. Mom got herself a beer and I got a nice glass of cold water.

We hung out there for a little while then headed home where I plopped down on the bed and had me a really sound sleep. It was a good walk about and was a better rest after.

Merry Christmas from my mom and me.

Mom also made a video card from us. I even watched it a few times.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know I did. I helped my mom make candy and cookies and we even roasted a big chicken for dinner. I ate so much and enjoyed every bite of it. I will probably need to go on a diet..maybe tomorrow…maybe the day after.
