Playing At The Fortaleza Ozama Abajo

I do not think I need to mention it again but I just cannot help it. I so love the morning romps momma takes us on. This morning they let us in the Fortaleza Ozama and we ventured into the bottom part of the fort because momma wanted a mango for her breakfast.

Beza and Zippy joined Buenagente and me when we went to check out the little cave underneath the lookout tower located high above.

This was Bezas first time visiting this area and she was a little nervous. She kept looking at momma to make sure she was close by to protect her in case a monster or some creature came out from the darkness. Beza is very good at barking but she can also be such a chicken.

After we had our fill of sniffing the cave and momma got her mango we headed back to the open area for a good run and play in the open area of the bottom part of the Fortaleza Ozama.

Buenagente and I like to play. People think we are fighting but it is just our way of playing. We like to play hard.

We grew tired of the battle and had to continue with our jobs as “Guardians of the Zone” and continued to check the perimeter of the Fortaleza Ozama Abajo.

I love it at the fort. It is my favorite place in the Colonial Zone, maybe in the entire Dominican Republic, even though I have not seen the entire country yet (it is on my list of things to do).

We left the Fortaleza Ozama and headed back towards home.

On the way we met up with Lola so we had to take her for a little play time.

We headed to Isabel la Católica where the street is still being repaired and is closed to traffic. It is also blocked off so we are safe.

After our little run and Buenagente was finished picking his toes we went home.

Everyone came up for some breakfast (thank you Buenagente, Aunt Kay and Pet Plaza for this food that we all love). Zippy and Lola stated outside and and ate their breakfast while Buenagente, Beza and I came in the house for ours.

Then momma surprised us and gave us each a bone. I love the bones. They are the cows feet and taste so good.

Now we are all sleeping in our favorite spots.

I am on the sofa crunching on some paper between snoozes. Always ready to give my momma a big tail wag when she looks in my direction.

It is a good day.
