Larimar Surfing Championship 2014

The Dominican Surfing Federation (FEDOSURF) announces that it will hold the next Válida Nacional de Surf “Larimar Surfing Championship 2014″. This years event will be held at Playa Paraíso, Santa Cruz de Barahona, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June 2014 starting at 8AM.

For surfers and spectators alike this is part of the Great National Surf Circuit. There will be great prizes, trophies and medals for winners in the various divisions for both high performance athletes and local competitors. There will also be many activities, music and food for all to enjoy.

The Palacio Consistorial

The Palacio Consistoral, originally constructed between 1502 and 1504, was the original location of the old town hall.

The building has been remodeled many times losing much of its original facade. The remodeling done In the early 1900′s when the building was again remodeled they brought back much of the buildings original eloquence.

The building an office of the Ayuntamiento del Distrito Nacional di Santo Domingo and Banco de Trabajadores. It also holds many events and exhibitions in its beautiful interior space.

The tower looms high above the Colonial City like a beacon to those trying to find their way. If you are lost just look for this tower and you can find your way back to the Conde.

Velas Santo Domingo 2014

The tall ships are here! Mooring at the Puerto de Santo Domingo, Don Diego, Rio Ozama. They can be visited on June 2 and 3, 2014 from 9am to 12 noon and 2pm to 10pm.
