The Dominican Winter League 2011 Baseball is On!
Opening day is October 14, 2011 with the regular season ending on December 21, 2011.
The All-Star Game is going to be December 13, 2011.
This year will bring some of the greats of Major League Baseball including Jose Reyes, Manny Ramierez and David Ortiz. The greats play to keep in shape along with the young players and the local greats.
The Dominican teams are Tigres de Licey, Leones de Escodio, Gigantes de Cibao, Las Aguilas, Los Toros del Este, Estrellas de Oriente. Links to the teams and more information about baseball in DR.

My friend and I are coming to watch baseball the week between Christmas and New Year. We are very excited. I have been to the DR only one other time (Punta Cana).
We also want to do the beach and a cigar plantation tour.
Any tips would be GREAT !!!
